Since I started my life in UK, I have tried traditional British food such as, English full breakfast (toast, fried egg, Hints’ beans, stirred mushroom and bacon), Cornish pasty, Sunday Roast (in Sunday afternoon), Cream tea and scone, sandwiches, Fish & chips, delicious pastry (pie) including stake-kidney pie, pudding and British Christmas dishes….And I have written about them in my blog.
In this page, I would introduce 2 luxury restaurants.
英国に到着してから、ずっと、出来るだけイギリスの伝統料理を食べるようにしてきました。イギリスの朝食であるイングリッシュフルブレックファースト（トーストと目玉焼きとハインツの豆（笑）とマッシュルームの炒め物とベーコン）、コーニッシュパスティ、日曜日の午後にいただくサンデーロースト、クリームティーとスコーン、サンドウィッチ、フィッシュアンドチップス、パイ（ステーキキドニーパイ）、プディング、そしてイギリスのクリスマスパーティーのお食事・・・（全て今までのブログに書いてます。適宜ご参照くださいませ）。
ここでは、少し高級なレストランに行ってきた経験をご紹介いたします。

(28th, December, 2015) * near Covent Garden
ルールズ（平成27年12月28日）※コヴェントガーデン駅の近く
I went to famous restaurant “Rules”.It had great decoration. It was after Christmas but Christmas related ornaments remained.
かの有名なルールズにやってきました。内装が素晴らしく、クリスマス後ですが未だクリスマスの装いを残してくれていました。
I had England sparkling wine with traditional “Stake-kidney” pudding (not "pie" in Harry Potter). This had good taste.英国のスパークリングとともにステーキキドニー…ハリーポッターがいつも食べているパイならず、プディングをいただきます。パイ生地が美味。
For me, this restaurant was too luxury….but if someone has a little money, and speak English very well, you should go….
(After this restaurant, I went to the theater to see “Mamma Mia” and sang “Money money” with Donna in my heart.)
こちらは私には少し高級すぎたようです。もしお金を持っている英語が堪能な方がおられたら、お勧めです。
（この後のマンマミーア鑑賞で、ドナの歌うMoney Moneyにとても共感し、心の中で一緒に歌いました……orz）
<Simpsons in the Strand>
（30th, January, 2016, Saturday）*near Charing Cross
シンプソンズ（平成28年１月30日（土））※チャリングクロス駅の近く
I went to the great restaurant (Simpsons in the Strand) to have a dish “Beef Wellington” that was introduced in TV program*.
*“Mary Berry’s foolproof cooking” on Monday at 8:30 pm. She is one of the great cook in UK, and teach us how to cook. This programme is informative for me.
本日は、イギリスのテレビ番組で紹介されていた美味しそうなお料理「ビーフ ウェリントン」というお料理をいただきに、ストランド通りにあるシンプソンズというレストランに行ってきました。
*（無理やり訳すと）メアリー＝ベリーの誰でも出来る簡単クッキング。月曜日夜８時半から放送されている、イギリス人の有名な料理人が様々なレシピを紹介してくれる有難い番組です。
Firstly I enjoyed small breads and Sparkling wine of England “Furleigh Estate” (From Dorset). Its taste contained rich grape flavor as well as refreshing bubble. These breads were so pleasant smelling with little salty taste that I ate them very quickly while enjoying delicious wine.
最初に、塩味が効いた香ばしいパンと、英国ドーセット州産のFurleigh Estateという、爽やかな泡とともにブドウの香りと味がしっかりと味わえる美味しいスパークリングをいただきます。
My beef wellington was started cooking after I ordered. So it took around 20-30 minutes. It was worth while waiting for. Also, I could see roast beef cutting conducted on another table and nice arts and so on while I was waiting for my dish.
ビーフウェリントンは、私が注文してから焼き上げるので少し時間がかかりますが、レストランの内装が素敵なので、待ち時間も飽きることがありません。また、他のテーブルでやっているローストビーフをスライスするデモンストレーションを見ることができました。
This is Beef Wellington in this restaurant. This beef baked on good condition. So this beef was juicy and tasty. I enjoyed a lot with crispy piecrust. Also, the sauce of this dish was excellent. Indeed, this dish was one of the most delicious one I had ever eaten.
こちらがお待ちかねのビーフウェリントンです。お肉の焼き加減が丁度良く、ジューシーなステーキが中に入っています。外のサクサクしたパイとの相性が素晴らしく、絶妙な味付けのソースとともに美味しくいただきました。
I was enjoyed this cerebration lunch at this restaurant. I also ordered “Simpson’s treacle sponge” for my dessert. This sponge was juicy and had rich flavor of sweet (may be liqueur? Or syrup?). Also, surrounding sauce was made by vanilla. I enjoyed these harmony….
美味しいお昼ご飯をいただいたので、予定はしていませんでしたが、シンプソンズの特性糖蜜スポンジ（イギリスのプディングのようなもの）も注文してみました。バニラの香りがたっぷりのソースと、中のスポンジにたっぷりしみ込んだ糖蜜ソース（リキュール？）の相性がぴったりな素敵なデザートでした。

It is about various traditional breads in UK on BBC 2 at 8 pm on Tuesday.
英国のパン職人の貴重な話を聞くことが出来ます。火曜日８時からBBC2にて。

It is About various stories of Windsor on BBC 4 at 9 pm on Tuesday (10 pm on Wednesday?)
ウィンザー城にまつわる様々な話を聞くことが出来ます。火曜日９時（水曜日10時？）からBBC4にて。
- Pets Make You Laugh Out Loud
There were cute animals in this TV program. It was broadcasted on Channel 5 on Saturday.
可愛い動物がたくさん登場する日曜チャンネル５の番組です。
- Countryfile
It is about country side landscape or something. It is broadcasted on BBC 2 on Sunday morning.
私の好きな田舎の風景を紹介してくれます。日曜日の朝、BBC2にて。
- Mary Berry’s foolproof cooking
Written as above, it is very informative.
上記の通り。
- BBC 2 on weekdays’ morning.
I always enjoy many short stories. Also, it broadcasts cute and enjoyable advertisement of BBC 2.
BBC2では、毎朝たくさんの短編番組が放映されます。合間のBBC2の面白いCMとともに、いつも楽しみにしています。
