My friends and I enjoyed Tokyo’s night in London. Does it make sense? It means some Londoner brought Tokyo’s night in London. It was interesting event, definitely!
今日は友人たちと東京ナイトというイベントに参加してきました。つまり、ロンドンに東京の夜を持ってきてしまおう、という面白いイベントなのです。
I found little funny (I am sorry if this expression is not so polite…) Japanese.
“激しくパーティしよう” means “思いっきりパーティーを楽しもう”? It is like my English!? (I am very sorry…)
時々、正しくない日本語を見つけ、私の英語のようで、笑えました（失礼！）。
This was lanterns! We sometimes decorates them in our festival.
これは、お祭りの時に飾っている提灯。
It was “harmonized” Japanese night as well as real Tokyo’s night. Especially I could remember Kabuki-chou near Shinjuku station.
There were “izakaya (Japanese style bar)” food like fried chicken flavored by soya sauce, sea weed ramen (Japanese noodle, but we rarely use sea weed on real Ramen…!), and …..Japanese “Sake”!!
本当の東京と同様、“日本”過ぎない日本を楽しむことができました。特に新宿の歌舞伎町のような雰囲気があります。居酒屋で定番の醤油味の唐揚げやワカメのラーメン（但し本物にはワカメはあまり入っていない！）、更に、素晴らしいことに、日本酒がありました。
Indeed, this sake was very nice. As I referred, one of my favorite Sakes is “香露 (kouro)” in Kumamoto prefecture. I could remember this delicious sake while drinking.
But….real Tokyo night is not so safe! I felt very relax in Tokyo night in London.
私のお気に入りの日本酒のひとつは香露という熊本県産のお酒ですが、その味を思いだしました。
なお、実際の東京の夜は、このイベントほど安全ではない気がします。。。(笑)
I also had a glass of mulled wine. It was delicious and I could feel Christmas mood, even it was November.
ちなみにホットワインもあったのでいただきましたが、とても美味しかったです。お陰で、11月にも関わらずクリスマス気分も味わうことが出来ました。
It was very cold at that night. Also, it was heavy rain. We heard large sounds of the rain. But our hot air beaten the weather condition! We were all dancing to the accompaniment of the up-tempo pop music. We enjoyed a lot! While dancing we forgot cold weather (although sometimes we gathered around a heater…heater is also very interesting! It was like a large torch!)
すごく寒い夜で、かつ雨も凄まじかったのですが、それに負けじと、ダンスフロアでアップテンポな曲に合わせて思いっきり踊りました（たまに、あまりの寒さに、松明のような面白い暖房の周りに皆で集まりましたが、それも面白い経験でした。）。
One of my friends said, London is very good place. Because many nationality coexists well. I agree with this idea. I was very happy. Because I understood Londoners accept our culture and enjoy!
友人の一人が、ロンドンには様々な国の文化が上手く共存している良い場所だと言っていましたが、まさにそのとおりと思います。東京ナイトは、まさにロンドンで日本文化が受け入れられている証拠です！

-Nihon shu (sake, Japanese alcohol)
日本酒（酒、日本のアルコール飲料）
This is special alcohol drink as well as wine. We always enjoy a small glass of sake with a good quality dish. I love drinking sake with a small piece of “dashi-maki tamago (Japaese style fried egg)”, “kakuni (boiled pork)”, sushi (raw fish with rice) or sashimi (raw fish) in Japanese traditional room; “Tatami (made from dried barley)”. Also, sometimes I enjoy a small glass of sake while warming my foot with hot spring water in cold winter.
ワインと同様、日本の素晴らしいアルコール飲料。質の良い料理とともに飲まれることが多く、私は、出汁巻卵、豚の角煮、お寿司あるいはお刺身とともに、畳の部屋でゆったりといただくのが気に入っている。また、たまに寒い冬に足湯をしながら飲むこともある。
-Karaage (Japanese style fried chicken)

This is Japanese businessman’s typical food recently. Business men often go for a drink after their work (mostly in Friday night). They frequent order Karaage, “Edamame (young green soyabeans. It was boiled and served)” and a glass of beer especially in hot summer. Also, university students try to order them as well.
We also order them in family restaurant, “karaoke” with fried potatoes.
最近、日本の会社員の金曜日の夜（飲み会！）に必ずと言ってよいほど食べられている。暑い夏にビールや枝豆と一緒に注文されることが多い。さらに、大学生の間でも広まっており、カラオケやファミリーレストランでフライドポテトとともに注文するのが一般的。

ラーメン（日本の麺）
In fact this was Chinese food and incorporated in Japanese culture. There are various kinds of Ramen in Japan.
I like Hokkaido (prefecture) ramen. Because it has special noodle. The shrinking noodle may be easy to be tasted by delicious sauce.
In my knowledge, we rarely put sea weed into Ramen. But when I was elementary school student, I sometimes enjoyed Ramen with sea weed and sweet corn. I like it beceause it is very healthy. Should I bring the idea to Japan??
実は中国が起源であるが、日本で広まり独自の工夫が加えられるようになったため、様々な種類のラーメンが存在する。ちなみに、私は縮れた麺により味がよく絡んでいる北海道のラーメンがお気に入り。
但し、私の知る限り、わかめをラーメンに入れて食べたのは、スイートコーンとともに食した小学校の給食が最後（あまりわかめは入れない気がする）。ただ、ワカメが入っているラーメンは健康的であり、良いと思います！流行らせようかな。。。
