It was fine weather. We could see blue sky! People who live in London know how it is wonderful for us… I also like mysterious mood of London like movie of Mary Poppins. However, blue sky is our treasure (You may know what I mean!).
Today, I plan to go to Borough market to prepare my Christmas Eve party. But it was clear sky. After my shopping, I decided to board Thames river clipper.
今日はクリスマスイブのための買い出しに行きましたが、素晴らしい天気だったので、テムズ川のクルージング（クリッパーという高速船）とロンドンアイの両方を楽しむという欲張りな計画を急遽たて、実施してまいりました。ロンドンのミステリアスな雰囲気が好きな方々も多いと思いますが、在住の方々はご存知のとおり、冬のロンドンは日照時間が短い上晴れの日が少ないので、青い空は、本当に貴重なのです・・・！
バラ・マーケットも、今やすっかりクリスマス一色です。
These were British traditional pie (“Game pie”) of Christmas. According to shop assistant, people always have cool Game pie. I ate it and thought it was very healthy and good for eating without heating.これは英国のクリスマスでよく食べる伝統的なパイだそうです（ゲームパイといいます）。お店の人に勧められて１つ購入し、言われたまま冷えたまま温めずにいただきましたが、とてもヘルシーな印象のある一品でした。
At the London Bridge Pier, I also met Christmas market at the pier. ロンドン橋埠頭には過去に２度行きましたが、ここでもクリスマスマーケットに出会いました。

青い空です。本当に気持ちが良いです・・・！
I saw St Paul Cathedral.
セントポール寺院が見えてきました。
This was “Big Ben (Now it was named as “Elizabeth Tower”)”. People always wants to take a picture.ビッグベンです。今は名前が女王様の名前をいただいてエリザベスタワーになっています。周囲に写真を撮影している人が大勢いて、なんだか盛り上がっていました。
I could see Christmas market in front of Tate Modern again.
テートモダンのクリスマスマーケットにまた出会えました！

ガーキンです。イギリスのノーマンフォスター氏（建築家）のデザインだそうです。

市庁舎もノーマンフォスター氏の作品。
…..In fact, I believe that I would reach London Eye pier. But the clipper suddenly return and headed for Greenwich…I recognize my (any) misunderstanding (I can’t understand even now…) and got off the clipper at Canary Wharf pier…But any way, I was lucky. Because I could enjoy good traveling by boat under blue sky.
*For your reference…Tube station of Canary Wharf is also designed by Norman Foster.
・・・気づいた方もおられると思いますが、実はロンドンアイに向かうはずが、途中で何故か高速船が方向転換し、グリニッジの方に向かっています・・・慌ててカナリーワーフ（＝埠頭）という駅で船を降りました・・・が、まさに怪我の功名、思いがけずゆったりと船旅を楽しむことができ、かえって素敵な午前中になりました。
※ちなみにカナリーワーフの地下鉄駅のデザインも、ノーマンフォスター氏によるものらしいです。
And, today I decided to challenge “London Eye”. It was so expensive that I felt easy to challenge…However, blue sky in London is so valuable….
さて、とうとう、ロンドンアイに乗ることを決意しました。やや高めの値段設定なので、今まで躊躇していたのですが、このロンドンの快晴がいつまたやってくるか分からない中、今乗らない手はない、と。
This is Big Ben from the sky. I remember the opening of the movie of “Mary Poppins”. Our London Eye capsule was getting higher and higher…..
これが空から眺めたビッグベンです。メアリポピンズの映画のオープニングを思い出しながら眺めました。
私たちがとっているロンドンアイのカプセルの位置が徐々に高くなってきました・・・

Enjoying London scenery from sky was different experience with just go around.
ロンドンの町並みを空から眺めるのは、街を歩いたときに感じるものとはまた違った印象がありました。
London’s cloudy and foggy weather has mysterious mood like famous movies and books. But sometimes we miss sun shine. So I always want to find good ways to enjoy fine weather as much as possible.
ロンドンの曇ってやや霧がかった幻想的な雰囲気も、本や映画のような世界であり、魅力がありますが、たまには太陽が恋しくなる時もあります。そんな時には、色々な方法で、晴れの日を満喫しようと思っている今日この頃です。
